Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring and assistance with daily living activities
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Document patient observations and care delivery accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain sterile environments and follow infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
- Transport patients safely between departments using appropriate equipment
Qualifications
- Current Texas CNA or EMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- Valid CPR/BLS certification with AHA provider
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
