Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with occasional holidays
- Proficient with EMR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
