Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care plans across multidisciplinary teams
- Manage appointment scheduling and insurance verification processes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Act as primary liaison between patients, families, and medical staff
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Train new staff on patient care protocols
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare coordination
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish required
