Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Prepare light meals and ensure proper nutrition/hydration
- Administer medications as prescribed and documented
- Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation
- Support patient independence while respecting dignity and preferences
Qualifications
- Current Kansas CNA certification or equivalent healthcare experience
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly/disabled patients
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Background check and drug screen required
- Basic computer skills for documentation
