Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligned with company growth objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, biotech, etc.) with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-driven risk/benefit analyses
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators to access bleeding-edge research
- Oversee a $5M innovation fund allocated to high-impact 2026 technology initiatives
- Document and disseminate future insights through executive briefings and industry publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies to market
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, or neuromorphic systems
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS)
- Experience leading cross-continental innovation teams in agile environments
- Exceptional storytelling skills for translating complex future scenarios into actionable strategies
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5+ year technology forecasting initiatives
