Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable infrastructure
- Produce annual 'Horizon Scan' reports forecasting disruptive innovations with 85%+ accuracy
- Design and launch incubation programs for breakthrough technologies with $10M+ annual budgets
- Partner with C-suite executives to embed foresight into corporate strategy and risk mitigation
- Represent the company at global futurist forums including World Economic Summit and TED Futures
- Develop patent portfolios for emerging technologies with 15+ annual filings
- Mentor next-generation futurists through Horizon's Future Leaders Academy
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology adoption curves
- Published thought leadership in top-tier futurist journals (e.g., Futures, Technological Forecasting)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies: quantum computing, biotech, AGI, and climate tech
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding from government and private sources
- Fluency in predictive modeling tools (e.g., Prophet, GPT-4, custom ML frameworks)
- Global network with futurist research institutions and innovation ecosystems
