Responsibilities
- Analyze technological, social, and economic trends to forecast 2026 market disruptions
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for next-gen AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product innovation pipelines
- Author strategic white papers and trend reports for executive and stakeholder audiences
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify emerging startups and acquisition targets
- Design and maintain Horizon's '2026 Innovation Index' for competitive benchmarking
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and technology summits
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications or industry journals
- Experience with futures research tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-strategy implementations
