Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal trends impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic frameworks for quantum computing adoption and AI ethics integration
- Author quarterly foresight reports with scenario planning for climate-tech and biotech disruptions
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering and product teams to align 2030 vision
- Represent Horizon Labs at global innovation forums and academic symposiums
- Build and manage a network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Translate complex future scenarios into product roadmaps and investment priorities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy consulting, R&D, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 companies
- Proven expertise in quantum computing, AGI, or climate-tech ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership on disruptive technology impacts (whitepapers, patents, or books)
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite decisions through data-driven futurism
- Strong network connections with DARPA, MIT Media Lab, or similar innovation hubs
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ successful strategic pivots based on future trend analysis
