This pivotal role combines foresight analysis with hands-on innovation leadership in our Austin R&D hub.
As a key architect of our 2026 vision, you'll leverage cutting-edge methodologies to anticipate technological shifts, identify disruptive opportunities, and translate future scenarios into actionable strategies. You'll collaborate with elite teams across AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology to build the innovations that will shape the next decade.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Innovation Roadmap, aligning with organizational growth objectives
- Architect strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to incubate 2026 product concepts
- Conduct scenario planning for technological disruptions and market shifts
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Manage a portfolio of 2026-focused innovation projects with $5M+ budgets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Innovation, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or technology forecasting
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 3-5 year horizons
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFS, CFIP)
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $3M
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex future scenarios
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation initiatives with measurable impact
