Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction methodologies
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Develop patentable IP for quantum-resistant encryption frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for advanced quantum projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum gate design and error mitigation techniques
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum development frameworks
- Strong background in quantum information theory and topological computing
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Fluency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization
