Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight strategy, identifying emerging trends in AI, biotech, quantum computing, and sustainable energy
- Lead scenario planning workshops to map potential futures and their business implications
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate 2026-relevant technologies
- Present strategic insights to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry experts
- Author thought leadership content on 2026 technology trajectories
- Advise product development teams on future-proofing current initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or futurism with direct experience mapping 5+ year horizons
- Proven track record of predicting and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting (white papers, journals, keynotes)
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight preferred
