Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 standards
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI systems for bias, privacy, and safety compliance
- Develop responsible AI training programs for engineers and product teams
- Advocate regulatory strategies to policymakers at federal and state levels
- Conduct impact assessments for emerging AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, autonomous systems)
- Establish KPIs for ethical AI performance across product lifecycle
- Publish thought leadership on AI ethics in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in AI Ethics, Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field (Master's with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years in AI governance roles with proven framework implementation
- Expertise in NIST AI Risk Management Framework and EU AI Act compliance
- Published research on algorithmic bias mitigation or explainable AI
- Experience collaborating with quantum/neuro-symbolic research teams
- Strong understanding of constitutional AI and value alignment techniques
- Professional certification in AI Ethics (e.g., IBM AI Ethics Certification)
