Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks for autonomous systems and decision-making algorithms
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments for ML models across product lines
- Design governance protocols for AI deployment in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, autonomous vehicles)
- Lead stakeholder engagements to align technical teams with ethical guidelines and compliance requirements
- Establish real-time monitoring systems for ethical AI performance and anomaly detection
- Author industry whitepapers on responsible AI practices and emerging regulatory landscapes
- Mentor junior engineers on ethical coding standards and responsible development methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI development or governance with demonstrable impact on ethical frameworks
- Expertise in ML fairness metrics, explainable AI (XAI), and bias mitigation techniques
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, US AI Bill of Rights, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical specifications
- Experience with cross-functional team leadership in tech product development
- Published work in AI ethics journals or conferences (NeurIPS, FAccT, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and bias detection libraries (AIF360, Fairlearn)
