Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical frameworks for AI decision-making systems
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments in machine learning models
- Create transparency protocols for explainable AI (XAI) implementations
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical considerations in development lifecycles
- Produce research publications on AI ethics and governance
- Advise on regulatory compliance for autonomous systems
- Lead workshops on responsible AI practices for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years researching AI ethics, algorithmic bias, or responsible AI
- Expertise in fairness metrics and bias mitigation techniques
- Strong background in machine learning fundamentals and model evaluation
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Python and statistical analysis tools
