Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including mobility assistance, vital sign monitoring, and personal hygiene support
- Document patient observations and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with meal service and ensure patient nutritional needs are met
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance and facility-specific policies
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or equivalent healthcare credential (HHA, EMT, etc.)
- Minimum 6 months of direct patient care experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work varying weekend shifts (early/late)
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Pass background check and drug screening
