Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum-adjacent computing and neural interfaces
- Manage innovation pipelines with $5M+ annual R&D budgets
- Drive strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging threats/opportunities
- Present findings to C-suite and board of directors
- Oversee patent portfolios and IP strategy
Qualifications
- 15+ years in R&D with 5+ years in strategic innovation leadership
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Materials Science
- Proven track record launching technologies with 10M+ user impact
- Deep familiarity with emerging tech frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO 21434)
- Experience securing federal grants (SBIR/STTR) preferred
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies
- Published research in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Strong background in ethical tech governance frameworks
