Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmap for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate AI)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions with industry partners
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine collaboration
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through innovation grants and venture partnerships
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Build patent portfolio with minimum 15 filings annually in core technology domains
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech leadership
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record scaling technologies from lab to market ($100M+ revenue impact)
- Expertise in at least 3 of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, generative AI ethics
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, ACM) or equivalent industry impact
- Strong network with global tech ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Shenzhen, Berlin)
- Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or German preferred
- Valid US security clearance (or ability to obtain)
