Responsibilities
- Develop 3-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $50M+ annual budget
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Collaborate with C-suite on patent strategy and intellectual property portfolios
- Present findings to board members and key stakeholders quarterly
- Manage team of 12 PhD researchers and innovation specialists
- Build strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA labs
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Biotechnology
- 10+ years in emerging tech strategy at Fortune 500 or unicorn startup
- Published research in Nature/Science with >500 citations
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, synthetic biology, or AGI alignment
- Security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages
