Responsibilities
- Lead research and analysis of emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) to identify strategic opportunities for 2026 market dominance
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with company vision and industry disruption timelines
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future tech into product development pipelines
- Manage cross-functional innovation teams and pilot programs for breakthrough technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to board members with data-driven impact projections
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers to accelerate R&D
- Monitor global tech trends and competitive landscapes to maintain first-mover advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies from concept to commercialization
- Deep expertise in at least two future tech domains (quantum computing, advanced AI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
- Executive-level communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M and cross-functional teams of 20+
