Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (2026-2030)
- Develop and maintain the company's future technology roadmap with quarterly reviews
- Facilitate innovation workshops with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Present strategic briefings to executive stakeholders and board members
- Identify partnership opportunities with startups, research institutions, and industry consortia
- Monitor ethical implications and sustainability impact of new technologies
- Manage a $2M innovation budget for pilot projects and prototyping
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, or sustainability tech)
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and board members
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (MBA preferred)
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, MIT Media Lab, etc.)
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., from Institute for the Future)
