Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 2026+ technology strategy roadmap aligned with organizational vision
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Architect cross-functional innovation labs to prototype next-gen solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to board members and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for future technology initiatives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Mentor teams in exponential thinking and adaptive innovation methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in C-suite or director-level roles
- Proven track record in scaling emerging tech from concept to market
- Expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI, or Web3 infrastructure
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published author in technology journals or frequent keynote speaker at global conferences
- Experience managing distributed teams across 3+ time zones
- Portfolio demonstrating successful commercialization of futuristic technologies
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi method)
