Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for 2026-2030, aligning with business objectives and market trends
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and assess their strategic value and implementation potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation teams to prototype and scale breakthrough solutions
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with research institutions, startups, and industry leaders
- Present technology roadmaps and investment recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Drive innovation culture through internal hackathons, R&D initiatives, and technology scouting
- Mentor a team of technology strategists and analysts to develop future-ready talent
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Expertise in emerging technologies with proven track record of commercializing innovations
- Strategic planning experience with demonstrated ability to execute multi-year technology roadmaps
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences and stakeholders
- Experience working in San Francisco Bay Area tech ecosystem preferred
- Certification in technology management or innovation strategy (e.g., CDIO, CTO School) a plus
