This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker who can translate future trends into actionable business opportunities while leading cross-functional teams in rapid prototyping and validation.
As a key architect of our future, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D labs, and global partners to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities in AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, and sustainable systems. You'll pioneer our innovation methodology while mentoring the next generation of futurists and ensuring our organization remains agile in an exponentially evolving landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Lead cross-functional teams in rapid prototyping of next-gen technologies
- Identify and analyze emerging trends across 15+ technology domains
- Design and implement horizon-scanning frameworks for early opportunity detection
- Present strategic foresight to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Mentor futurist talent and build organizational foresight capabilities
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual innovation budget
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, climate tech)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIP, APF) preferred
- Experience managing $1M+ budgets with P&L responsibility
- Exceptional storytelling and executive presentation skills
- PhD or Master's in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in top-tier innovation journals
