Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, market signals, and socio-cultural shifts to forecast industry trends through 2030
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term organizational objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable business strategies
- Author thought leadership publications and present to executive stakeholders and industry conferences
- Identify disruptive threats and opportunities using scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Collaborate with R&D teams to validate emerging technologies and prioritize R&D investments
- Maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, Strategic Foresight, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research roles
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused business strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level communication abilities
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar program)
- Portfolio published foresight work or strategic frameworks implemented at scale
