Responsibilities
- Design and architect fault-tolerant quantum error correction codes tailored for superconducting and trapped-ion hardware.
- Develop high-level compilers and software stacks (QASM, Cirq, Qiskit) to translate classical algorithms into quantum logic.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and reduce decoherence during computation.
- Lead the technical roadmap for quantum simulation tools used by internal R&D and external partners.
- Implement quantum machine learning models to predict hardware performance and stability.
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and foster a culture of innovation and rigorous testing.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing research or software development.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA for high-performance computing.
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Grover, Shor, VQE, QAOA) and their practical implementation.
- Experience with quantum simulators and cloud-based quantum platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket).
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory.
