Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including mobility assistance, medication administration, and personal hygiene
- Monitor vital signs and document patient status using electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for continuity of service
- Assist with therapeutic activities and patient comfort measures
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in shift handovers with detailed reporting
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
