Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care assistance including vital sign monitoring, mobility support, and hygiene maintenance
- Administer medications accurately while maintaining detailed electronic health records
- Respond promptly to patient call bells and emergency situations during overnight hours
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment following infection control protocols
- Document all patient interactions and care activities in the electronic health record system
- Support patient meal services and nutritional needs as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare or direct patient care experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work variable overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic health record documentation
- Valid Illinois driver's license for potential emergency transport duties
