Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all warehouse activities during the night shift, ensuring efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Team Management: Mentor and supervise a team of warehouse associates, conducting daily briefings and performance evaluations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory discrepancies, and utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for accurate tracking.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the workflow and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely delivery of orders and handle customer inquiries regarding shipments.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using inventory management software and WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, or similar).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety.
