Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms to solve complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers in prototyping quantum systems
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant cryptography frameworks
- Research novel qubit technologies including topological and photonic implementations
- Create technical roadmaps for quantum computing scalability through 2030
- Author patents and publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance principles
- Track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing publications
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex multi-variable systems
