Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead integration of quantum hardware with cloud platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Conduct threat modeling for post-quantum cryptographic systems
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate qubit coherence times
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and similar forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Publication record in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Familiarity with NISQ-era limitations and mitigation strategies
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain government clearance
