Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Implement quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity rates
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure
- Research and prototype quantum-resistant cryptographic systems for 2026 deployment
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum space communication protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Security clearance preferred for DoD/NASA projects
- Fluency in Python/C++ with low-level systems programming skills
