Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit quantum processors
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $50M+ in quantum research grants through innovative proposal development
- Establish industry standards for quantum API interfaces and security frameworks
- Pioneer quantum machine learning techniques for 2026-era data challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Track record of leading quantum hardware integration projects with >10 qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
