Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing systems with 100+ qubit capabilities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for enterprise-scale deployments
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Establish quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography systems
- Research novel quantum error correction techniques for industrial applications
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years implementing quantum algorithms on real quantum hardware
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum systems
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and GPU acceleration
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., PennyLane, QML)
- Security clearance or ability to obtain DoD quantum project access
