Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum systems operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry white papers
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated machine learning models
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in low-level hardware control and cryogenic system integration
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Strong track record of securing research funding ($500k+)
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
