Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with materials science teams to optimize qubit stability
- Author breakthrough research for Nature Physics/Science journals
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum complexity theory
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grants by Q4 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq and Q# frameworks
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave/Rigetti)
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing
- Security clearance for DOE quantum projects preferred
