Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Design and implement quantum error correction codes with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through DARPA, NSF, and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and build next-generation quantum talent pipeline
- Translate theoretical advances into patentable quantum computing architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 8+ years industry experience
- Published 15+ papers in quantum information science or related fields
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerance thresholds
- Experience securing government and corporate research grants
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
