Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 1000+ qubit processors
- Develop error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity in quantum gate operations
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum-resistant cryptography initiatives
- Partner with Silicon Valley VCs to spin off quantum computing startups
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry R&D
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Published research on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement in multi-node systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor calibration protocols
- Track record of commercializing quantum computing innovations
- TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain government research credentials
