Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with software engineers to translate quantum research into practical applications
- Publish findings in Nature Physics/Science and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum circuit design experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Track record of securing government or industry research grants
