Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with low-temperature quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Track record of high-impact publications in quantum information science
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical applications
