Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubit systems and quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve quantum gate fidelity and coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and partnerships with DARPA and NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Ability to secure DOE or NSF funding for research initiatives
