Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum architectures
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Secure federal research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Physics and Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-based quantum computing frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
