Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration in R&D environments
