Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead fault-tolerant quantum computing research targeting 2026 breakthrough milestones
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale problem-solving
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum supremacy or quantum machine learning (arXiv:quant-ph/2024.XXXX)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Rigetti's Forest SDK with GitHub repositories demonstrating 500+ commits
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency in tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks (QuTiP, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Track record of translating quantum algorithms to real-world applications
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC) and quantum cloud platforms
