Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical solutions
- Publish research in leading journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, quantum error correction, and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding from NSF, DARPA, or industry partners
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and linear algebra
