Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubit scalability
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and private funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM Q or Rigetti systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary research teams with diverse technical backgrounds
- Clearance for DoD/NASA quantum research projects (or ability to obtain)
