Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in financial modeling
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and error correction protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Strong track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
