Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits
- Lead research projects published in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
- Participate in quantum security protocols for 2026-era infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency with Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration
