Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration and calibration protocols
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with physics and engineering teams
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks
- Proficiency with Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq programming environments
- Published record in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Proven ability to secure competitive research funding
