Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, PRX)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex mathematical problems
