Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom toolkits
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at major conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and establish industry partnerships for quantum adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, and quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq) and high-performance computing
- Track record of publishing top-tier quantum computing research (Nature/Science/IEEE)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
